    About the Role
    Provide a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Ultrasound imaging service to the patients of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent’s Private Radiology.

    • Perform all Ultrasound examinations, to the highest standards of quality and care, demonstrating extensive knowledge of ultrasound imaging.
    • Demonstrate a wide variety of examination experience and clinical skill in Ultrasound imaging.
    • Participate within a multidisciplinary team to provide an efficient service optimising patient care and safety, ensuring operational targets are met.
    • Assist in the daily workflow of the area and ongoing service delivery to ensure clinical and operational efficiency and patient safety.

    Classifications for this position will range from SO57-SO65 ($102,091 - $136,203 per annum pro rata).

    Your Contribution

    • Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
    • Experience and competence in a wide variety of general ultrasound examinations
    • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

    About St Vincent's Medical Imaging - Ultrasound Department

    St Vincent’s Medical Imaging (MI) provides four comprehensive diagnostic imaging programs across three campus sites.



    St. Vincent’s Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM’s inpatients and outpatients.



    St. Vincent’s Private Radiology (SVPR) is a co-located comprehensive private radiology service providing imaging services to St. Vincent Private Hospital, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and private outpatients.



    The Ultrasound department consists of 5 diagnostic rooms within MID and 4 diagnostic rooms within SVPR. Across these sites a wide range of general and complex examinations are performed. Such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular, obstetrics, breast and procedures.
